Clinical principles for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal (non-specific) lower back pain

Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common reasons for a neurologist visit. In 90–95% cases, LBP nonspecific (musculoskeletal). The diagnosis based on symptoms, somatic and neurological examination data, absence «red flags» (symptoms signs characteristic specific causes pain, discogenic radiculopathy, or lumbar stenosis). We review modern principles acute, subacute, chronic treatment. also discuss interventional non-interventional treatment approaches, emphasizing importance combination therapy an interdisciplinary approach.
